Twenty plus years of broadcast production under my belt and what was true from the onset, rings true today: A producer needs to find creative opportunities and creative solutions to make every project great. It's my favorite part of the job - pushing a project to a place far beyond the expectations of clients. My favorite experiences have always come from unexpected sources, rather than the standard industry fare. Examples would be introducing Maysles Films to the ad world through John Hancock’s Marathon spots; filming lions in Africa with a director who used night vision with an upside down DV camera to convey the lion’s POV; giving Steve Buscemi his first shot at :30 film making; hiring graphics wizard Kyle Cooper to shoot Reebok ads. Not to say that working with people like Peggy Sirota, Tony Kaye, Neil Abramson, Melanie McDaniels, Baker Smith, Laurence Thrush and the like isn't fun... it's a blast.

Another asset I bring to the production table is an obsession with music. I have spent my life playing music, collecting music and, for the last decade, heading up Sweet & Doggett, a music supervision and consultation company.  We have licensed music for broadcast, created download libraries, produced music festivals, consulted on video games, sat on panels, worked on movies, managed up and coming artists and more . We’ve done work for AOL, Volvo, Amex, Dunkin Donuts, Fidelity, Subway, Starkist, Merrill Lynch, Ford, Dell, Mini Cooper, VW, Newport Folk Festival, Fisher-Price, Hasbro, Atari, Kodak, etc. Come take a look at what we’ve done at sweetdoggett.com.

So go ahead and take a look at my work and I hope we have the opportunity to work together. You can reach me at jsdogg@comcast.net or by phone at 617-872-0455.  Thanks, Scott
